Both pictures show a diffuse mucosal hemorrhage at the esophago-cardial junction, the left side in an antegrad way, at the right side with the endoscope in an inverted position. The cause of this diffuse hemorrhage was a myelodysplastic syndrome. See also Thrombopenia .
