Cherry Red Spots with diffuse hemorrhage Portal hypertensive gastropathy often results in a diffuse mucosal hemorrhage. An effective endoscopic hemostasis is not feasible. A trial of argon- plasma coagulation makes sense until a substantial reduction in portal pressure is achieved.
